Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN and works as an SportsCenter anchor for news. Her first assignment with ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since her age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her get her first job as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After this she was hired by her CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. In 2009, the reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she would fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. She was also given more responsibility. She reported on events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She was a host of sports for the morning program that is Despierta America Deportes. The anchor also worked in similar roles on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. There is an older sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in the year 2006. It was on a time of summer when she was with her sibling in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. At the time of her senior year in high school but having a clear vision of what she would like to accomplish with her life Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her needs. It turned out that she liked the campus and that the school had the program she desired. When she finished high school, she decided to go to the university with a major in Media Studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was an affiliate. His passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities encouraged her. She, in turn, tried to meet the standards he set and to not fail him.
